Car accidents

In the recent years, the phenomenon of car accidents has become more and more common. This phenomenon has many factors. One of the most influential factor, according to the Israeli central bureau of statistics, most of the popularity involved within car accidents is young people between the ages of 17 and 21 year old each year for the last 5 years. This piece of information mentioned above tends to lead us, the readers, straigt to the collocation "Drinking & Driving". Young people do not always think twice before they get on the road.

A majority of the youth who own driver's license are, in most cases, very irresponsible. Therefore, there was a suggestion to raise the age of driving lisence to 19 instead of 17. This idea can be very efficient. It may help to decrease the number of car accidents each year, since less young drivers will get on the roads and thus less car accidents will occur.

In my book, this idea would avoid some potential car accidents, but would not uproot the problem. In order to do so, the process of getting a driving license should be more strict. Furthermore, the panishment should be severer. Thus, people will come to a driving license with a far more serious attitude.

In conclusion, the current situation of car accidents must be changed. Measures must be taken as soon as possible. I believe that the problem can be solved only by taking this issue very seriously. I hope that the government will make a good use of their wealth and invest their efforts in eliminating the problem before the bleak statistics reach a point from which there will be no return.
